Tristan! I love Tristan. Not keen on the others.

I like Tristan and Walter

Tristan is my favourite by miles.

Walter (Walt), Theodore (Theo/Ted)

I like Tristan but the lack of nickname makes it less appealing to me (though I realise this is highly appealing to some!)

I'm not hugely keen on any of them tbh

Theodore is the only one I like but Theo/Teddy both overused in recent years

I like Theodore, but it's v popular at the moment. Of the others, I like Tristan best, but I'm not keen on it. Feels a bit insubstantial somehow.

Walter is wet to me. Thaddeus is massively ott imo.

The Tristan I know is mainly called Tris.

I like Theodore the most from your list.

Thaddeus seems kinda cool, stands out in a good way (although he might get the nn Tad which isn't so nice). I also like the poetic Tristan, can't see any downsides to that one.

Dislike Theodore and Walter (sound a bit "Geek/Old man chic" to me, even though Theodore is very popular now)

Thaddeus is my dream boy name but I would never use it. My boys have less unusual names and still get looks so i couldn’t take the judgement 😄 it is gorgeous though! I will admit I don’t know anything about its background/meaning.

I like Theodore, but would actually call him Ted.

1. Tristan (Bit posh. Knew a brilliant one who wasn't posh, but the posh stigma remains)

Thaddeus! That's an excellent name. And Teddy works as a short form.

Otherwise they are all quite nice.

Love Tristan! Theodore is lovely too.

Walter and Thaddeus are both in my family - I prefer the latter, with Thad as a nickname.

Tristan - fine. Will be Tris
Theodore - massively overused, and I've never liked it
Thaddeus - not sure
Walter - fine.
