I don't personally like Daisy, it's too cute for me.
I also think the two names are a bit clunky to say outloud but if might work depending on surname.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 07/02/2021 15:26

I don't think the 2 ee ends flow,:sorry.
Daisy Amelia would be lovely though or Amelia Daisy.

MerryChristmasToYou · 07/02/2021 17:23

Does Daisy sound ok with the surname? Middle names are rarely used.

AdriannaP · 07/02/2021 17:24

Don’t like Daisy, think it’s cute for a small child not for an adult. Can you make that the middle name?

Bluntness100 · 07/02/2021 17:25

I assume you’re not hyphenating it? Are you in the Uk? Here middle names are not used other than on paperwork. As such her name would just be daisy surname here

What country are you in?

TwirpingBird · 07/02/2021 17:27

Daisy is very cutesy, but I always think 'will it suit her when she is 47?'. I think it's cute for a 5 year old, but it's not a lifetime name.

FluffyEggsontoast · 07/02/2021 17:41

Really love it
I know a 50 year old Daisy!

That said there aren't many 50 year old Daisy's these days but there'll be plenty in 50 years' time

People often say "can't imagine a 50 year old Alfie" but again, Alfie was incredibly rare 50 years ago so no you probably can't imagine a 50 year old Afie in 2021 but in 50 years it'll be totally acceptable in 2071

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/02/2021 17:43

Lovely

WoodpileHouse · 07/02/2021 17:44

Lovely.

Imissthegym · 07/02/2021 17:45

Daisy is a well established name! There’s plenty of grown ups called Daisy!

I like both independently, not sure the flow well together but it doesn’t really matter as you never really use the middle name.

aSofaNearYou · 07/02/2021 17:46

I always think this. "It's not a name for grown ups" is a silly argument about names that are currently popular. Obviously it will be a very common name for adults by the time the child is one.

MerryChristmasToYou · 07/02/2021 17:49

I can remember when every other girl's nan was a Margaret or Elizabeth, so Daisy was an elderly woman's name not a little girl's.
I think it's slightly twee, but it's better than Margot.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 07/02/2021 19:07

Daisy is too cutesy for me, sorry. Amelie is ok - it has more of a quirky French feel imo, so that stops it being too twee.

partyatthepalace · 07/02/2021 19:20

It’s very cutsey and a bit wet.

Daisy Amelia is better

Amelia Daisy a lot better

Bilgepumper · 07/02/2021 19:28

I can't get past Daisy being my friend's dog.

Chilldonaldchill · 07/02/2021 20:14

I think it's great. It flows really well.

IsThePopeCatholic · 12/02/2021 22:35

I don’t like either. Daisy for me is always a cow’s name. Amelie is too cute.

DramaAlpaca · 13/02/2021 01:40

Both too cutesy for me, especially together.

And Amelie only sounds good if you happen to have a French accent.

LittleTiger007 · 13/02/2021 23:50

I love it. Personalise I’d go Amelie Daisy in that order. Lovely names.

LittleTiger007 · 13/02/2021 23:50

*personally

Lalliella · 13/02/2021 23:53

I love Amelie. Daisy not so much, I think of it as a bit twee, or the name of a cow, sorry. Also 2 ee sounds together is not so good. How about Amelie Rose?

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 14/02/2021 00:02

I really like both names but not together. The matching end sound is not good.
Daisy Amelia is lovely, or add in another middle name maybe to break it up a bit.

Kanaloa · 14/02/2021 00:06

Daisy is pretty, I know two little girls named Daisy. I don’t tend to worry too much about the middle name, I would think more of your last name, as she will be called Daisy Surname. If you really want first & middle to match I would say Daisy Amelia as pps have said flows better.

Ijustlikedthename · 18/02/2021 09:41

Lovely!
