I was just thinking with Ella being quite popular what about Stella? I've always liked the name Estelle, there was a singer called that when I was younger. Doubtful I'll have any more now I have my two, just a thought.

OP posts:

It's already back. I think it's lovely but not keen on Stel.

BibbityBobbety · 04/02/2021 15:52

It's a strong name and I like that there's a few really powerful Stellas in the world. Stella Remington, Stella Creasey, Stella McCartney...

Chilldonaldchill · 04/02/2021 15:55

I love the name. I know one who's 10 and another who is 7. I never think of the beer.

Oh no sorry @HenriettaHeffalump ! Wasn't expecting you to say anything. Sorry if it sounded like that! It wasn't a sarcastic "that's interesting" , I just meant that I found it interesting (because I'm a bit weird, I do find it interesting when you find clusters of fairly unusual names)

HenriettaHeffalump · 04/02/2021 16:45

Haaaahahahaha I did read it as sarcastic! Thought "alright Columbo" 😂😂😂.

My fault! Some things don't translate well into text.

Part of me is a little disappointed though, as I thought it was an amusingly random hill for you to die on Grin

Estelle (which I prefer) sounds more upmarket than Stella

WagnerTheWehrWolf · 04/02/2021 17:55

Estelle is gorgeous. Very serene and elegant

Even if it also reminds me of Joey from Friends' agent who was anything but! Grin

I loooooooove the name Stella. I think it sounds great and I love the meaning.

AuntieStella · 04/02/2021 22:12

The lager association is far too strong for this name to be readily useable for many.

If just a brand, it might be withstood. But it's been around fir years, is still going strong, and is nicknamed 'wifebeater'

I'd be wary

Bluntness100 · 04/02/2021 22:13

I hate the name as I knew one who was as horrible as they come.

YoniAndGuy · 04/02/2021 22:25

I knew a really manky Stella so it’s kind of ruined it for me!

Mally2020 · 04/02/2021 23:22

anything stella, estella, ella, elle, estelle will have a massive come back soon

Luckyelephant1 · 08/02/2021 00:03

Just seems a bit chavvy to me. Reminds me of the lager, and sounds like it would be the name of someone married to a football hooligan. I do like Estelle though.
