I love Xanthe OH not so sold on it. What are people’s experiences? Any pitfalls? Any alternatives?

I just floated Xanthe to my husband as a suggestion and he said it sounds like a piece of software 🙈 (he works in tech) I think it's one of those names I like the sound of it rather than the spelling. A bit like Ottillie where I like the spelling but not the sound of the name.

We have a xanthe in the family. It’s Greek I believe and not short for anything.

I'm Greek, I still like it! In Greek, we pronounce the x as you would in fox. I also named my children after their grandparents but I wanted to and think their names suit them Smile

Beautiful but the X feels a little OTT

It reminds me of xanthan gum when I see it written down bit I think thats probably just me.

Its a nice name though :)
