We are expecting a baby boy and plan on naming him Leroy or Roy. Wondering which appeals more to the mamas out there or what vibe you get from each. Thank you for your help, mamas!

Leroy reminds me of the 80s . From fame 😀

Of the two, Roy. It's a bit too similar to the increasingly popular Rory.

Leroy reminds me of the car from My Family. All I can hear is "Leroy my Man!" But I prefer it to Roy

@Jetatyeovilaerodrome

Is the baby going to come out as a 72 year old man, who is married to a woman called Janet, enjoys golf and gardening, and suffers from irritable bowel, much to Janet's exasperation?

If not, then it's a no to Roy.

😂

@Blondiney

Leroy from Fame. Roy Cropper from Corrie.
This. Both are bad. But Roy is exceptionally bad. So I’m going with Leroy.

I don’t like either TBH, but Roy I guess is a 50s/60s name so will get revived before Leroy. They both sound rough and downmarket to me (sorry OP just being honest) - how about Jesse, Guy, Rory, Robbie, Reuben, Frank/lin
