Girls:

Neve - I like this, and this is my favourite spelling.
Halle - I like, but prefer the Hallie version.

Maeva - Never heard, but like Maeve.
Sasha - It's OK.
Audrey - I like this.
Camille - I quite like.
Primrose- Love this. My favourite on your list.

Boys:

Frederick / Fred - I prefer Freddie as a name on its own.
Rex - It's OK. Never met one.
Gregory - Not keen on this at all.
Reid - Never heard of and unsure.

BerylSilverstone · 14/01/2021 16:12

KirstenBlest · 14/01/2021 19:06

Girls:
Nell
Sasha,
Camille

Boys:

Rex
Gregory - just ok

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 14/01/2021 19:13

Of your boys choices I only really like Frederick (nn Fred).

Of your girls, Camille, Neve and Audrey are all nice imo (although I know some people find Audrey a bit marmite). I love Maeve, but Maeva looks made up and Nell is lovely, but not Nellie (the elephant?)

MrsXx4 · 14/01/2021 19:29

Thank you for comments.

So I’ve always loved the name Nell but my boy is called Noah. So does Noah and Nell look too twee or cutesy try hard?

DotDotDotDotDot · 14/01/2021 19:32

Camille and Frederick (nn Freddie) are my favourites from your list, not keen on any of the others, sorry.

Pudding01 · 14/01/2021 19:34

I like Camille and Freddie/Fred

If you have said Maeve, that would have been up there too!

I think Nell as a nickname is good. But would be to Penelope. Which would work with Noah.

My friend just had twins called Noah and Charlie

MrsXx4 · 14/01/2021 19:38

I watch Made in Chelsea and there is a Maeva in that so that’s where I got that name from, I prefer it to Maeve. However, it’s not my favourite.

I think I’m liking Camille the most at the moment. I don’t know about the boy names I’ve got. There’s nothing that really sticks out for me.

I’m not keen on Penelope only because I know of too many around here in the last 3 years.

MrsXx4 · 14/01/2021 19:38

Charlie is quite nice actually. I hadn’t thought of Charlie.

Will you be finding out the sex, to help your decision making or keeping it surprise?

My neighbour is called Camille and I think it's really pretty and a bit different. Has the same vibe as Emily, Charlotte, Lucy and Sophie for me.

I find boys names difficult! Her boys are Zachary/Zach, Noah & Charlie and I like all the names.

toastofthetown · 14/01/2021 20:23

Neve - Niamh is lovely, don't like Neve
Halle - quite bland - blends in with Ellie, Molly, Tilly etc.
Nellie / Nell - Nell is nice I prefer it as a nickname though. Dislike Nellie
Maeva - sounds a bit made up to me
Sasha - I think of this more as a boys name
Audrey - rising in popularity, but I don't see the appeal
Camille - nice name, I prefer Camilla
Primrose - I love Primrose (you might not get a lot of support on here though!)

Frederick / Fred - love it
Rex - not a fan
Gregory - lovely choice, unusual but not bizarre. Also like Gregor
Reid - no

MrsXx4 · 14/01/2021 20:35

No we aren’t finding out and we didn’t with our first either I like the suspense too much!

If my first had of been a girl he was going to be called Genevieve, once I had him in my arms and saw how tiny he was I just couldn’t picture a baby having such a big name. That’s why I’m trying to keep to quite short names I think.

I do like both spellings of Neve, I just lack any connections to Ireland unfortunately so felt a bit funny using that spelling.

umpteennamechanges · 14/01/2021 21:12

I love Maeva and it's also on my list MIC is my trashy guilty pleasure.

My least fave for a girl is Primrose. The full version feels a bit overly flowery, and Prim sounds...well...prim.

TempsPerdu · 14/01/2021 21:21

Camille is stunning, and I also really like Sasha. Like Maeve but not Maeva. Not keen on the others or any of your boys’ names I’m afraid (although if I had to pick one I’d go for Frederick).

JeanMilburn · 15/01/2021 09:05

Nellie

partyatthepalace · 16/01/2021 17:48

Halle - sounds made up and down market
Nellie / Nell - love Nell but ideally as a nn for Eleanor or similar.
Maeva - it sounds really odd to me with the a but Maeve is nice.
Sasha - v 70s revival! Nice enough.
Audrey - don’t like it much.
Camille - don’t like this, but do like Camilla
Primrose - no - extremely wet

Boys:

Frederick / Fred. Like both, Fred as nn.
Rex - no, awful, downmarket.
Gregory - nice enough.
Reid - no, awful, downmarket.

FluffyEggsontoast · 16/01/2021 17:50

Maeva on MIC is quite hard to pronounce

Greta? Martha? Mabel?

I really love Audrey. How about verity or felicity

I think Nell sounds lovely with Noah

FluffyEggsontoast · 16/01/2021 17:51

If you like Made in Chelsea how about Tristan, Hugo and Spencer haha. They are all nice names and established in own right

Rex is nice. How about Axel.

PikaPikaJigglypuff · 16/01/2021 20:28

Rex, Maria and Sarah are my favourites from your list

PikaPikaJigglypuff · 16/01/2021 20:29

Sasha! My phone autocorrected!!

PikaPikaJigglypuff · 16/01/2021 20:30

I also think Nell would be fine with Noah
