Spencer - awful
Marley/Marlie - cute
Henry - like
Veronica (Ronnie) - eugh
Norah - love
Felix - cute
Albie - meh
Heidi - i want to love it but can't quite

@SleepingStandingUp

that's the trouble with Archie now😊

thank you for your reply!!

MercyBodle · 23/12/2020 05:38

I like:
Archie
George
Alfie
Henry
Felix
Albie
Toby

I don't mind Rain/e but not so keen on the Rayn spelling. Veronica/Ronnie is okay.

finallychangedmyusername · 23/12/2020 18:44

I like Henry, Felix, Toby and Heidi.
Wilbur and Norah are ok.

formerbabe · 23/12/2020 18:48

I like most of them. Not keen on Archie/Alfie but only because there's so many of them around! Really like Toby, Spencer and Norah

mamaduckbone · 23/12/2020 18:50

Archie
George
Alfie - nice but overused
Rayn - horrid
Spencer - ok
Marley/Marlie - nope
Henry - classic
Veronica (Ronnie) - love Ronnie for a girl
Norah - like it
Felix - fine
Albie - prefer Albert
Heidi - nice
Wilbur - not keen
Toby - like it

mamaduckbone · 23/12/2020 18:51

Missed Archie and George
Archie - a bit common
George - pretty classic

Dylvan · 23/12/2020 18:55

My friend just had an Archie, the royals never even occurred to me.

Do not let that put you off!

Pinkchicken85 · 23/12/2020 18:58

Archie : too popular
George : too popular
Alfie : see above
Rayn ; is that rain misspelt? No
Spencer ; surname
Marley/Marlie ; Marley and me.... woof woof
Henry; lovely but too popular
Veronica (Ronnie); Ronnie for me is a bit masculine
Norah; nice
Felix; Cool, but does remind me of the cat
Albie; unusual in a good way.
Heidi ; only if you’re scandi
Wilbur ; powerful, like it.
Toby; nope. Sounds like the name of a charming golden retriever

QuantumJump · 23/12/2020 18:58

My favourites are Toby and Heidi. Least favourites are Wilbur and Marley.

LadyLazaruss · 23/12/2020 19:08

Archie: Yuck
George: Nice but too popular
Alfie: Too popular
Rayn: Prefer Rain. Like that
Spencer: I just think of Diana
Marley: Yuck
Henry: Love this
Veronica: Bit too old fashioned
Norah: Prefer it without the 'H'
Felix: Nice
Albie: No
Heidi: No
Wilbur: No
Toby: Awful

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 23/12/2020 21:13

Henry is lovely, Felix and Toby (prefer Tobias) are also nice enough of your boys choices imo. I'm not very keen on any of your girls, although I guess Norah is okay (although I prefer Cora or traditional Laura).

janetmendoza · 23/12/2020 21:21

From your list I would choose Veronica or Albert

DoTheNextRightThing · 23/12/2020 21:48

Honestly I love these posts. Love discussing names.

Archie - I've always liked it but it's becoming too common these days
George - classic, but not a fan
Alfie - dog's name
Rayn - ?? Don’t like
Spencer - Like it
Marley/Marlie - my mind dances between Marley the dog and Jacob Marley. Either way, no
Henry - no, just too stuffy for me
Veronica (Ronnie) - love Veronica
Norah - Like it
Felix - I like it but also a cat name
Albie - Big no
Heidi - indifferent
Wilbur - no
Toby - dog name

So out of those Archie and Veronica are my favourites

Oh dear, those are the lead couple from Archie Comics/Riverdale... BlushGrin

sara9 · 23/12/2020 22:36

thank you all for your opinions, i love hearing what people think!

DramaAlpaca · 24/12/2020 01:13

Well, what I can say is that we have completely different taste!

I'm afraid I either dislike or hate all of them, with the exception of Henry which is fab.

17caterpillars1mouse · 24/12/2020 07:58

Archie - not fan. It is way too popular in my area
George - ditto
Alfie - ditto
Rayn - just no. Is it supposed to be a misspelling of Rain or Rein. Awful imo

Spencer - OK. I quite like it for a girl. On a boy I think of the smarmy made in Chelsea guy

Marley/Marie - not my style. Seems to be having a moment so will probably date badly

Henry - lovely

Veronica (Ronnie) - love it. My favourite on your list

Norah - also beautiful

Felix - not a fan. It makes me think if cats

Albie - not a fan, similar to Archie / Alfie - I know a few though not as many

Heidi - I like it

Wilbur - love it

Toby - love Tobias but not so keen on Toby

Chilldonaldchill · 24/12/2020 22:30

Archie - I'm not a fan of old man names but this is one of the better ones
George - an irrational dislike for me.
Alfie - don't like
Rayn- really really don't like - sounds very feminine and the spelling looks weird
Spencer - feels very grey and boring somehow
Marley/Marlie - don't like at all. Sounds like someone moaning
Henry - lovely name
Veronica (Ronnie) - it's ok
Norah - quite like this
Felix - lovely
Albie - my ds has a couple of friends called this. I quite like it
Heidi - it's ok
Wilbur - very Charlotte's Web. I prefer Wilfred.
Toby

Happenchance · 24/12/2020 22:38

I only like Henry and Rayn (spelled Raine and for a girl).

I much prefer Veronique to Veronica and Laura to Norah.

To me, Marley is a dog’s name.

Namechangedforthethousandthtim · 25/12/2020 10:23

Archie - overused and dull
George -overused and dull
Alfie - overused and dull
Rayn - don't like the spelling and not keen on the name in general
Spencer - i like this
Marley/Marlie - just think of the dog
Henry - also pretty overused
Veronica (Ronnie) - quite cool and uncommon
Norah - lovely
Felix - lovely
Albie - doesn't feel like a full name
Heidi - cute
Wilbur - lovely
Toby - cute
