I adore nature and would love ideas for baby names relating to nature. They could either be:
- A name that is an actual item from nature (e.g. plants like Lily, or precious stones like Amber)
- A name derived from something from nature e.g. Oliver for a boy, relating to the olive tree.
- A name that has an actual meaning relating to nature, or the earth (e.g. Ava which is Latin for Bird)
There are a few I can think of for girls that I like (though I'm not keen on Poppy / Rose / Rosie / Holly) but I can't think of many for boys.
Girls:
Ivy
Ava (though this is very popular recently)
Iris
Fern
Amber
Hazel
Lily (or derivatives like Lillian /Lillia)
Violet
Heather
Boys:
Ash (as in the tree)
Oliver
