Our little girl is due any day now and we have our shortlist but we can't decide on our favourite. We have decided to wait to see what she is like when she arrives but wanted some opinions on our list.

Natasha
Louisa
Piper
Trixie
Molly
Jade
Alice
Jessica

I really like Alice, Jessica, Louisa and Natasha.

VenusClapTrap · 17/12/2020 07:50

Natasha makes a refreshing change!

I like Alice and Jade.

Hate Piper and Trixie.

KirstenBlest · 18/12/2020 13:12

Natasha - nice but will be Nat or Tash. A bit dated. Nice link to time of year.
Louisa - nice
Piper - don't like at all
Trixie - nn for Beatrix? Sounds just like 'tricksy'.
Molly - nice
Jade - dated
Alice - lovely
Jessica - like

QueenOfJammyDodgers · 18/12/2020 13:19

Molly or Alice

user1493494961 · 18/12/2020 13:41

Alice, Louisa or Jessica. I don't like Jade or Trixie and Piper is awful.

Tuesday12 · 20/12/2020 18:53

I like Molly, Louisa and Jessica best

Lobsterquadrille2 · 20/12/2020 19:36

Alice or Louisa.

Aubergina · 20/12/2020 19:48

Natasha - feels Russian, not keen on Nat as a nickname, but Tash is quite cute

Louisa - It's ok, prefer Louise
Piper - it's nice but not keen on the OITNB connotations

Trixie - No, this is a cat's name. She'd have to be very posh to pull it off

Molly - nice, but the drugs reference would out me off

Jade - Bit plain to me

Alice - My fave of your list. A classic

Jessica - Nice too

MamaDane · 20/12/2020 19:50

Alice is lovely. Piper is nice. The rest I'm not keen on. Trixie sounds like a pet name to me, like something you'd name your cat.

17caterpillars1mouse · 22/12/2020 20:02

Love Natasha best

Not a fan of Trixie. I know a Dexi which is similar or Trudy?

Calmondeck · 22/12/2020 20:36

Best wishes for the birth OP! How exciting. Perhaps I’m in the minority but I think Jade is a great choice, strong yet feminine, easy to pronounce and spell. I find it funny how some colour names are described as dated, while other colours are very of the moment (Hazel, Amber). I think Natasha is due a resurgence too. (Though I may be biased because I know a lovely Jade & Natasha). Think Louisa is beautiful and has plenty of nn options.

Shmithecat2 · 22/12/2020 20:40

Natasha or Alice are tolerable. The rest are a big No.

Mally2020 · 23/12/2020 05:47

1.Piper favourite
2.Molly (but prefer mollie) mollie is favourite
3.Louisa like
4.Natasha like don't mind

5.Alice no
6.Jessica overused
7.Trixie 'common'
8.Jade 'common'

Kingkong66 · 23/12/2020 10:44

Alice by far!

partyatthepalace · 23/12/2020 15:59

Jade and Trixie are stripper names
Natasha is a bit dated
Piper slightly made up - but cute
Rest are all nice enough

SionnachRua · 23/12/2020 16:01

Natasha - nice
Louisa - meh
Piper - ok
Trixie - pet name
Molly - boring
Jade - lovely
Alice - meh
Jessica - nice

I'd go for Natasha or Jade.

notalwaysalondoner · 23/12/2020 16:34

Natasha - ok, bit Eastern European, very fashionable in early 90s
Louisa - lovely, classic
Piper - don’t like at all, reminds me of Charmed, think it will date a lot
Trixie - unusual, but I actually quite like it but probably more as a nickname
Molly - lovely if a bit bland
Jade - hate it, very 90s and a bit chavvy
Alice - classic but a bit bland
Jessica - fine, prefer Alice, Molly or Louisa

PoodleMoth · 23/12/2020 20:10

Really like Piper and Trixie

pilates · 23/12/2020 20:13

Jessica, really like Jess and Jessie too
