For a boy?

Remy or Remi?
And do we like Leo?

Be as brutal as you like.

I love Leo, I think it’s a lovely, strong name. I’m not keen on Remi/Remy.

evenmoreforthemoor · 13/12/2020 21:06

Both are great. I believe Remy is French and Remi is Nigerian, short for Oluwaremilekun which has a lovely meaning.

LunaHardy · 13/12/2020 21:07

I love Leo. Not keen on the name Remy as it reminds me of the brandy DH drinks! But that's just my personal preference Smile

Firebird83 · 13/12/2020 23:22

I like both Leo and Remy (this spelling)

Lisa78Lemon · 13/12/2020 23:38

I adore Leo! So much sonthat my DS born last year has that name. However, it was apparently the number one boy's name last year and if I had known that I possibly wouldn't have used it.

Remy sounds feminine to me.

theantsgomarchin · 14/12/2020 06:20

@Lisa78Lemon I didn't know that! And I agree it does put me off if there are going to be 20 Leo's in his class!

Out of interest what other boys names did you have for DS other than Leo? We obviously have similar tastes ;)

Love Leo
Not keen on Remy

Katgolde · 14/12/2020 07:45

I prefer Leo.

Lisa78Lemon · 14/12/2020 07:47

Others we liked were:
Oscar, Rafael, Max, Samuel, Zachary, Alexander

We've met lots of babies in our baby classes and only one other little Leo!

LittleTiger007 · 15/12/2020 10:36

I like both but prefer Remi. I taught a Remi and he was wonderful. Remy with a y is a drink ... it could work too.

galaxy9 · 15/12/2020 15:16

Love Remy. Leo a bit meh imo

Ellmau · 15/12/2020 22:58

Love Leo.

DramaAlpaca · 15/12/2020 23:08

I'm not mad on Remy but I really like Leo.

ChristmasCalamity · 16/12/2020 15:23

I like Remy as a French name, in my opinion it doesn't carry over and doesn't sound good with an English accent.

Leo is lovely!

FawnDrench · 16/12/2020 19:35

Remy - the name of a brandy

Leo - okay.

mamablondie33 · 16/12/2020 20:36

Leo is incredibly popular. I know 3.. if you’re worried about that sort of thing then definitely go for Remy. Both are lovely in different ways.
