This is on my list too, but it's just interesting to know what people think! :)

I know a few here in Italy. Despite its origins it's considered quite "nouveau" here.

I know two, known as Eli, it’s really pretty.

@SionnachRua i think that's what pp meant when she mentioned "peasantry" and it being "common"? I read the "something quite attractive about it" to mean something quite attractive about having such a common name not something quite attractive about the name itself.

Eliana is pretty but as others have mentioned there are sooo many ellies eloises eleanors elsies ellas etc that her name may not be very outstanding. Something to consider if popularity is an issue for you.

How about:

Marina
Thalia
Alana
Anastasia
Anna

Or, my personal favourite, Elrond 😉

That's a fair point but I think my opinion is less 'peasantry' and more 'forgettable' Grin Which is not always something people like to hear about their own name! But if they're happy with it, crack on.

I'm not keen on it. Just not my style. I like more substantial, less frilly names. Very fluffy.
