Which girls name do you prefer?

My partner and I are struggling to decide which girls name we like best, which do you prefer?
The middle name will be Florence after my grandmother.

Ivy (I have loved this name for years but I’m really put off by its recent popularity)
Polly
Lila
Autumn (partner says it’s too out there and I’m in two minds)
Blossom (partner says it’s too out there again!)

Thanks 😊

Polly by a country mile

AdelaideK · 08/12/2020 17:06

I like Lila and Autumn. Not fussed on the other two.

Honestly?

Ivy - lovely. Classic either way.
Polly parrot.
Lila meh ok. One of many similar names atm.
Autumn - quite nice but only for an autumn baby imo.
Blossom- sweet but more like a nickname, will date.

Twinkie01 · 08/12/2020 17:08

Blossom is a donkey or a cow.

Polly and Autumn are nice.

Jigglypuffler · 08/12/2020 17:09

With the middle name, I'd go for Lila.

But I also love Polly.

Others, meh

Joeyandpacey · 08/12/2020 17:10

Blossom and autumn.

DaddysGirl36 · 08/12/2020 17:11

I have a Polly & I love it. Lots of compliments. It's not unusual or unheard of but never in the top baby names which I like

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 08/12/2020 17:11

My favs are Ivy and Autumn

TheYearOfSmallThings · 08/12/2020 17:12

Polly

Boxofpinot · 08/12/2020 17:38

Only like polly, ivy and lila. Think ivy Florence sounds beautiful

LittleRa · 08/12/2020 17:41

Out of your choices I would choose Ivy. I’m a primary school teacher and we have no Ivys in school currently. My 6yo DD does have one Ivy in her class.
How about Ida, Ada or Iris?

purplejungle · 08/12/2020 17:41

Ivy or Polly

DuchessMinnie · 08/12/2020 17:42

Polly is a lovely name.

MikeUniformMike · 08/12/2020 18:18

Ivy - dislike
Polly - like a lot, would consider using it
Lila - dislike
Autumn - not keen

MikeUniformMike · 08/12/2020 18:19

Blossom - I don't think of it as a name, maybe ok for a shire horse

OffredOfjune · 08/12/2020 18:23

Autumn and Ivy by far. Polly sounds far too wet to me.

sibbys · 08/12/2020 18:23

Polly ❤️

GooseberryTart · 08/12/2020 18:27

Ivy or Polly are ok. But think Ivy goes better with Florence.

BurtonHouse · 08/12/2020 19:45

Polly top.
Lila second.
Others blah

Firebird83 · 08/12/2020 19:53

Polly or Lila

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 08/12/2020 19:56

Lila is the nicest (although I would use the more popular Lilah spelling personally). Autumn and Blossom can sometimes sound a bit tacky to me, Ivy is much too trendy, Polly is okay but a little old -fashioned imo.

elfran · 08/12/2020 20:00

Love Polly, Ivy is a distant second (nice name but feels trendy to me). The others I don't personally care for.

Chilldonaldchill · 08/12/2020 22:03

Ivy - I do like this
Polly - I love this
Lila - I'm not keen.
Autumn - I like this.
Blossom - sorry I dislike this a lot, it sounds a bit tacky to me

Nell96 · 08/12/2020 22:12

My favourite is actually Florence - beautiful, classic name, pretty but not frilly and suits all ages.

Ivy - I know one she's around 4 I think. It's a sweet name. Short, simple and pretty. I also like Iris and Fern, in a similar vein.
Polly - like - it's growing on me and not too popular.
Lila - ok - sounds a bit more grown-up and less frilly than Lilly, Leila, Lola etc. Perhaps a bit insubstantial and similar to a lot of other quite popular 'L' names.
Autumn - nope
Blossom - hard no

PlantPotting · 08/12/2020 22:24

Polly
