What do you think of this name for a girl? It would be after the Italian city (where we got married) I was thinking of maybe using it as a middle name? So it would be Aurora Capri. I was going to call her Aurora Violet but now I can’t decide😂. Do you think it sounds strange because of Capri Sun the drink?

Crappy.

It's a car to me. I don't like it as a name, sorry.

I like it. Aurora Capri really works and sounds different/original.

Pipandmum · 03/12/2020 13:07

I immediately thought of capri trousers. If it's a middle name might be ok.

I love it and would also think of the beautiful destination rather than the other associations.
I also loved Cadiz as a name, until we got home from our holiday and saw our old radiators are called Cadiz.

I can’t help but think of the car that Del Boy owned!

Capri-sun

Ford Capri

Tangledtresses · 03/12/2020 17:14

I wouldn't!

I think it would be a bit much if you had no connection to the place - but you have a story to tell her about your wedding. As a midfle name, it is fine, but so is Violet.

YoniAndGuy · 04/12/2020 09:51

Middle name fine if it has meaning to you.

I don't see how it's pretty though. It's pretty harsh and has lots of everyday meanings, none of which are at all evocative or nice really. If you say it a few times - Ka-Pree - it's not that great...

VenusClapTrap · 04/12/2020 16:46

Pants! But as a middle name it’s fine because nobody ever uses them, and it has meaning to you so far better than the ubiquitous Rose, May or Grace.
