Names - husband doesn’t really like my name choices...

I’ve a few names on my list that I like but my husband isn’t too keen but then hasn’t really offered up any to consider. Just wondering on people’s thoughts and any other suggestions. Siblings names are Evie, Ellis and Rose

Etta (I love this name but husband actively dislikes it)
Gwen/ Gwennie
Florence

Miles (husband doesn’t like this name as his bf has this surname). Really it’s the only boys name I love but the other two below are inoffensive :)
Gabriel
Louis

I’m not keen on Etta or Gwen tbh and I don’t really think you should have another E name.
How about:

I don’t think it matters if your DH’s bf has that surname, but how about Milo?

I agree with your dh about Etta...I remember being in a theme park and a mum next to me called out for her dd who was called Etta and my first thought was what a try hard hipster name

You can't call your child something that your husband dislikes. Since you've already managed to name three children together, it should be possible to find a fourth name that you agree on.

Etta is too much "E" with Evie and Ellis (poor Rose would feel left out!) Florence is pretty (although quite popular), but I feel Gwen is nicer and goes better with the siblings names (not keen on Gwennie but it's okay as a nn). Other suggestions: Nell, Tess, Ada, May, Nia, Stella, Iris, Clara?

I don't think you can use Miles if DH dislikes it (I'm not keen on it personally). Louis is classic, but I've never been keen on the sound. Lewis is nice and would go well with the sibset though. Gabriel is lovely but I'm not sure it works well with the other DC's names (although maybe with the nn Gabe?). Something shorter/simpler feels like it would work - Seth, Max, Zach, Lucas, Henry, Logan, Caleb?

Boys - definitely Miles it's so strong and under used. Not Gabriel, all that makes me think of is Todd Carty's psycho character in The Bill!

Why don’t you both pick 10 names then hand each other your lists. You then chose 5 of each other’s lists.
Of These new 10 names, each pick your 1st 2nd 3rd choice etc.
Then chose the name from this.

Why don't you have a look at the Top 100/500/1000 names for each sex and highlight ones you would consider? Get DH to do the same separately and see what you have in common?

I love the name Etta. Maybe too many E names with the siblings, but it doesn't really matter. Florence goes well with the sibling names. Sorry I don't like Gwen/ Gwennie. I like any of the boy names.
