I've considered every girls name under the sun but so confused then this one popped into my head. What are your thoughts on this name. Does it go with brother William?

The ma-rye-a pronunciation is all but dead. You’d have to spell it Mariah if this was your preferred pronunciation. Sophia is going the same way.

It’s my name and aside from a brief period when I wanted to be called Emerald I’ve always been grateful my mum chose it. It’s never really shortened, although a lot of people called me Marie in Ireland. Be aware she may get sung at when introduced. So long as she develops a sense of humor and requests the Blonde Maria (the only one I like) she’ll be fine 😊
