Due DD2 next year. Had picked a boys name. Found out we are expecting a girl. If you had a little girl called Imogen, what would you call her sister?

I know sisters called Imogen, Phoebe and Eloise. I’ve always thought they go well together.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/11/2020 21:55

I knew a Imogen and Rosalind sibset (both Shakespearean). Imogen with Beatrice, Julia or Celia would also be nice (again subtle Shakespearean links).

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/11/2020 21:58

Or Helena or Emilia as suggested

Couldn't say why but Natalie springs to mind. Imogen and Natalie. Nice ring to it.

wizzler · 02/12/2020 06:07

Immediately thought of Nancy but also Madeleine, Juliet and Beatrice

So do I. I wonder if we know the same ones!

@Fifthtimelucky Ha! Birmingham area? Imogen and Rosalind do work really well together (same number of syllables and Shakespeare link but different sounds), so maybe it's a popular sibset!

Taliasometimes · 02/12/2020 10:57

Imogen is our top pick if baby is a girl!

I think these names for a sister:

Mathilde
Lola
Scarlett
Clementine
Alice
Madeleine
Penelope
Ruby
Lily

Fifthtimelucky · 02/12/2020 10:58

@IamnotwhouthinkIam No, nowhere near Birmingham.

I know the mother in my case also considered Miranda but it didn't go as well with the surname.

My favourites with Imogen are:

Martha
Erin
Madeleine
Alice
