Hi all, DD due in 2 weeks. What do people think of Amy? Middle name will be Elizabeth.

I have an Amy - it's a lovely name, sweet and pretty. She's the only one in her school (which has many Isla's and Lily's). I don't feel it's boring at all - it's a classic name. We also call our DD Mimi at home which suits her.

My eldest is called Amy Elizabeth. I still love it, haven't encountered a single negative comment about it.

I don't find it dated, just less popular than it was 10-15 years ago - but that's a good thing in my eyes. It was the Olivia/Isla/Ava of its time but nowadays it sounds refreshing. Amy Elizabeth is a very nice combination. The long middle name balances the short first name perfectly.

I love Amy. It's on my list.
