Final shortlist. Please help.

We have 3 year old Rufus and I'm expecting another boy next month. Last night we put this shortlist together.
Which of these do you like best and why please?
Edwin
Joseph
Oscar
Emrys (we both have Welsh heritage)
Frederick (to be known as Fred)
Dylan
Leo
They're not in any particular order and no more suggestions please. It was a long and fraught discussion to get to these.

I think Leo sounds good with Rufus or maybe Leon as someone else suggested

Emrys, both looks and sounds lovely

Oscar and then Dylan, both lovely names that go with Rufus!

Thanks for all your help. After some research by dh, we've discovered that Edwyn is the older so original spelling and we think we'll go with that.
There's a family link and we can shorten to Ed which is a concession to Fred my dh's favourite.

Edwin. I would spell it this way though, Edwyn looks wrong even if it is older, it is the less common spelling nowadays.

I love Edwin with Rufus.

I'm really not sure about the Edwyn spelling though. I'm aware it's not a feminine ending in Welsh, but it makes the name look slightly softer to me. I prefer the stronger Edwin.

Emrys or Leo!

For centuries people have been swapping 'i's and 'y's in spelling, so of course Edwyn is okay (I prefer it actually). Edwin has been the default spelling for 100 yrs or so, but there's no law about these things.

For Rufus' (love this!) brother I love:
Oscar
Frederick/Fred
Leo

These all have a different ending to Rufus while sounding just as cool and interesting. Joseph is bland in comparison, I like all the other Ed names but not so keen on Edwin, I don't like the repeated s ending with Emrys, and Dylan is not nearly as cool as Rufus.

I would rank:

1= Frederick nn. Fred
1= Joseph - love both these names so first equal!
3 = Oscar
4 = Edwin or Edwyn - I prefer the first spelling but both are nice
5 = Leo
6 = Dylan - perfectly fine name, I just prefer the others

Not sure where to place Emrys - I love it, although I would not be brave enough to use it myself. Also just wondering if Rufus and Emrys is too matchy? Both two syllable names with the same ending sound.

Edwyn is great!

A quick Google says edwyn is an approved traditional spelling and that it means blessed wine. Fantastic.

I prefer the Edwyn spelling it's lovely!

Rufus was our frontrunner (we had girls) and we also had Emrys on our list. Love it and it's known but unusual like Rufus. I really like Joseph and Dylan, prefer Dillon, too but they seem a bit too mainstream next to Rufus for me

Ohh I'm having a son soon and going to call him Dylan so I'm bias !
