We always wanted to have two middle names for my dd, and I wish we had. How hard or easy is it to add an extra middle name?

What ahe is your child? Are both parents in agreement about adding the name?

I always wanted it and listened to other peoples opinions. My dd knows and really wants it added too. But if it's a massive operation to do then will leave it.

Probably looking at deed poll to do it

Deed poll. I did it for my mum for her 60th birthday as she had always wanted a middle name (I applied, she had to consent obvs!)

We added an extra middle name to our Ds aged 7. Very simple, local solicitor , couple of visits, cost £40.

What a lovely present. Did she choose a name or did you?

Very easy. I had wanted a middle name since I was 9. I deed polled myself one for my 50th birthday

IHeartKingThistle · 25/11/2020 18:08

@shesellsseashells99 we knew what she wanted - she wanted the same middle name as her mum Smile

Really really want to do this too for our DD. Can you just use a deed poll company? Will it be accepted by passport office etc?

Has a link to the required forms

So you have to take a witness with you to a solicitor?
