Me and my partner have quite different tastes in names..
I like old fashioned names and he likes unique names.
Trying to find something thays inbetween. I like names that are different but not too out there that nobody knows how to even pronounce it.
Any ideas?

There are so many girls names that are both old-fashioned (eg. historical such as Roman/Greek, Shakespearean, Biblical) whilst still being "unique" (ie. usually only given to a few girls each year) - you just need to look at ancient/historical name lists. For example: Cassia/Keziah (Roman/Biblical/Nature name), Flavia (Roman), Talitha (Biblical), Corisande (Historical), Nerissa (Shakespearean). Good luck!

What about a composite name?
Eve29455109
Can't get older than 'Eve' and the number makes it unique. Wink

N.B. It's the fact that one can chose any number you want which makes it so versitile. Grin

I would look at names outside the top 100:
www.britishbabynames.com/blog/top-1000-names-in-england-and-wales-2019.html

My immediate thoughts were names like:

Cressida

Juliet
Rosalind
Rosamund
Rosalie
Cassandra
Cassia
Verity
Naomi
Jennifer
Margaret
Serena

You don't need to come up with some OTT 'never heard of it' name - honestly there's a point at which 'unusual and interesting' becomes 'parents look like they've tried far too hard to be YOONEEK! - poor kid'

Lots of good suggestions above.

Golden rules: make it fairly obvious to spell and ideally without lots of ways you can spell it, same goes for pronunciation. And make sure there's a good nickname or short form.

Cassandra nn Cassie is a good example.

Cornish names are good - Demelza, Kerensa, Loveday?
