Is there anything obviously wrong with this name before I use it?!

Hi 👋
Never posted before so bare with!

We are a due a daughter just before Christmas and are planning on calling her Iris Joy. Iris means rainbow in Greek I thought it was a fitting name after a year like 2020! Joy is a family name and I liked having a festive nod due to being born in December.

I suddenly panicked last night that there may be some horrendously obvious reason why I shouldn’t use this 🤦🏼‍♀️ Any thoughts?

We currently have a son who is Quinn Thomas George

Thanks xxx

Being honest, not seeking consensus. It would stand out, but not in a good way, in a serious professional setting. Same goes for any other quirky name.

Agree with the two middle name thing.

Iris Amelia Joy is gorgeous.

If this is true, 'serious professional settings' need to check their biases and stop discriminating.

Iris isn’t a quirky name.
