If like the name Robin for a boy, can you suggest other boy names that I might like please? I want to avoid him being one of many in the same classroom etc without choosing a really "out there" name.

Thanks in advance Smile

I’d avoid Rowan and Rohan as they’re both becoming incredibly popular.

If you want to try and avoid him being one of many in a classroom /school then I'd look at the top 100 list and make sure you avoid every one of them.
Obviously there's no guarantees with any name but statistically you're far less likely to have multiples in a school and class (and then throughout life at work and so on) if you go outside the top 100.

Fast rising top 100 trendy names like Rowan/Roman/Rohan are obviously ones to avoid. There's also quite a lot of Ro_ names in general that are very trendy at the moment. Names like Ronnie. So you might want to avoid Ro__ names completely.

Robin is a lovely classic name to me. I like the suggestions of Peter and Laurence. How about Robert, Sidney, Otto, Miles, Tristan, Barnaby, Wilfred.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far!
I should have said, the name doesn't necessarily have to start with an R, just if you thought of any names similar in style to Robin Grin

There were 8 children with my youngest sons name in the year he was born, and one of them is in his class at nursery school!

Why can’t you use Robin?

Do you like the vibe of Robin or the sound.

I like the vibe and sound of Robin. I don't think I can use it as it is similar to DS1's name (2 syllables and ends in - in / - an / - on sound). Also would prefer something that can't be abbreviated where possible x

First thought was Connor but it’s not that unusual. It’s lovely though.
Corin, Morgan, Seamus, Silas, Walter - any of those near the mark?
