1 new baby. I absolutely love the name. It's on my list for baby girl names. Reminds me of Luna Lovegood from HP.

1. Known as Loony. I absolutely wouldn't call a child Luna for that reason.

Love the name we wanted to use it but our close friends daughter is Luna

One dog and one cat but no humans.

My cat. I let my daughter name her which accounts for why she has the same name as every her cat.

Never met one

Constantly seem to meet dogs called Luna.
Not met a human. Yorkshire.

I wonder what other kids at school might make of it - Luna/loonie. Think again!

And although many people say it's a dog's name, it's a real name in my dhs country, as with several other countries. It's like everyone calling their dogs Jade or Rose in Italy and people all saying it's a dog's name.

Every name is a dog's name somewhere. Don't let that put you off!
