Hi everyone I have two girls, both of their names end in ie, I’m ttc baby no 3, I’m thinking ahead on baby names and I know what I would call the baby if it was a girl but no idea on boys. But I do want it to end in ie!
Thankyou

I’d prefer the first two. Hard to find names that aren’t just a shortening with an ie.

Ismellphantoms · 01/11/2020 19:24

Garrie! I hate ie names on boys as they are almost all short names for a longer name. I called mine a full name and they chose whether to use a shortened version or not. It was their decision which you take away from them by giving them the short name to start with.

Jordie24 · 01/11/2020 19:26

I do really like Brodie that’s the only one on my ‘future baby names’ list in the boys section but I wanted to see if there’s anymore out there I really like!Smile

Dougie
Hughie
Andy (sounds the same)
Marty (ditto)
Ally (ditto)
Sorley
Ronnie
Vinnie
Eddie
Lachie
but I much, much prefer the full names, however.

I've also heard of a Comrie - Scottish place name.
