Hello all!! I'm on a search for boy names currently, if any of you have any suggestions for me, i'd love to hear them!
I have 2 children, Jonah & Camilla, for boy names I want something a bit more simple and classic, I've been liking Christopher, Arthur and James, but do you think James is too similar to Jonah? Tell me what you think! Do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much! x

Jonah and Camilla are lovely. Compared to them James is a bit bland and popular IMO.

What about Barnaby? Toby? Timothy?

Bmidreams · 31/10/2020 06:15

Not too similar at all.

RosieLemonade · 31/10/2020 07:00

James is a horrible wet name. Christopher is lovely.

Love your children's names. I don't think they're too similar but I personally would have different first letters for my children. I think Edward goes really well with your names - do you like that?

kezziethecat · 31/10/2020 07:08

Also love Arthur

Enko · 31/10/2020 07:23

Love James and no I dont think its too similar nor is it a wet name imo.

I think James is quite a strong name, I wouldn't say it's similar other than the first initial.

Thistlegirl4 · 31/10/2020 11:11

James is a strong, classic name and goes fine Jonah.

BigBigPumpkin · 31/10/2020 11:12

Not too similar, they only share an initial. James and Jonah are as similar as Christopher and Camilla.

BigBigPumpkin · 31/10/2020 11:13

I also love the name James but DH vetoed it because he works with one.

Greyhoundgirly · 31/10/2020 14:26

They don't clash at all. And I disagree it's popular, it's timeless, the exact opposite!

midsomermurderess · 31/10/2020 21:13

No, other than the same initial letter. And they might end up being Jamie and Josh. Completely different.

midsomermurderess · 31/10/2020 21:14

Sorry, I read Josh for Jonah. Still not too similar.

NC4Now · 31/10/2020 21:17

I love the name James, and all it’s derivatives. I don’t think it’s too close to Jonah at all.
Jonah, Camilla and James has a really nice rhythm to it.

Ladderofyears · 01/11/2020 15:33

Jonah and Camilla are amazing. I think James feels like a poor relation next to them. Arthur would be better. I do like Christopher but I dislike Chris - Kit would sound amazing with the other sibling names.
My suggestions would be:
Sebastian
Reuben
Rufus
Ezra
Nico
Lucas
Evan

VenusClapTrap · 01/11/2020 17:29

James is fine with Jonah. I prefer Christopher though.

kittykat35 · 01/11/2020 17:34

Not too similar but I would be just thinking of future post that says Mr J "enter surname"
But if that doesn't bother you then I like them!

eddiemairswife · 01/11/2020 17:49

I like James, but with 2 'J' sons there could be the possibility of confusing which one mail is for.

resm · 01/11/2020 22:21

Another vote for James!

DramaAlpaca · 01/11/2020 23:13

James is fine with Jonah.
