Just that really, which would you choose? I like nn for both so that’s not really an issue. Just can’t decide which one I prefer! Thank you!

Both great names! And I rarely say that on these threads.

I think I slightly prefer Clementine, though.

SoupDragon · 29/10/2020 16:07

Clemmy makes me think of something like Clammy. "Ugh! It's all Clemmy!"

Spidey66 · 29/10/2020 16:08

I prefer Clementine. Love Clemmie as a nn

Oneandabean · 29/10/2020 16:36

Definitely Beatrice although I prefer Beatrix, bea is a beautiful nn.
I really don’t like Clementine although I think I’m in a minority as it seems to be everywhere at the moment

Topseyt · 29/10/2020 16:46

I like both but lean towards Beatrice. Or Beatrix. With Bea or Trixie as shortenings.

Ladderofyears · 29/10/2020 17:35

Beatrice

Thank you so much for your opinions! Think Beatrice has the edge ☺️

Beatrice for me by a long shot, but also prefer Beatrix

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/10/2020 23:39

Beatrice for me of the two. I love it's long literary and classical associations, nice meaning, and I like both the cute Bee, modern Tris and the vintage Trixie nicknames. Clementine has a nice enough sound but Clem/Clemmy is horrible to me, sorry.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 30/10/2020 01:01

Beatrice. Had my son been a girl that would have been his name

GrumblyMumblyisnotJumbly · 30/10/2020 01:06

Clementine is a wonderful name & I imagine someone with a bold streak.
Beatrice sounds a bit prim and proper.

Pemba · 30/10/2020 01:16

Clementine seems much prettier to me. Both pronunciations are nice. (tyne and teen).

I dislike the English pronunciation of Beatrice - 'beer-triss'.

jessstan1 · 30/10/2020 03:05

Beatrice! 'Clementine' sounds like an orange you might put in a Christmas stocking.

mynameiswah · 30/10/2020 10:59

Clementine IS a type of orange though. 🙄
Beatrice makes me think of hideous names like Bertha. I mean, why?!
