Like the name Toby but does is it too strongly associated with the carvery chain? Is this a regional problem? thank you

Tobias/Toby was the name we would have had if we had a boy

My son is Toby James 😊 We have a Toby carvery near by, whenever we pass he points out ‘his’ restaurant. We have eaten there several times with friends and I’ve never heard anyone make the link between the names. The nickname he is most often called is Toblerone!

My husband is a Toby. Obviously I'm ridiculously biased but I associate it with all things gorgeous and happy and good 😍😍😍

Maybe it’s just because my family are big carvery fans- they go weekly

Not too bothered about the dog association as I am quite fond of dogs less fond of meat and gravy associations.

Other option is James but I know it will be turned into Jimmy...

Really? I know lots of James (usually in their 20s) and not a single one has been referred to as Jimmy

I think I need a new family. It’s something to do with Russ Abbott. I don’t think this is a common problem for people called James.
