Audra
Thea
Aerin
Tuleh
Odelia

Help me see potential problems I haven't thought of... associations, pronunciation etc.

I also can't work out of any of these work together or if I need a whole different middle name?

I think I like Thea Aerin but im not sure if it's too sing-songy

My existing DD has a 2 syllable "ee" ending name like Hayley

I like Thea Odelia together.

I wouldn’t be 100% certain on the pronunciation of Aerin.

hellotoday27 · 26/10/2020 21:43

I like Audra and Thea
Not sure any of these names go together
though

MelanieMayI · 27/10/2020 09:10

Yes I think I'd really like to use Audra - I love the sound and the meaning. But I think you're right, need to come up with a more suitable middle name

And I think as much as I love Aerin, she's forever be saying "like Erin but with an A at the beginning"

Thea is pretty. Prefer Audrey to Audra. Not keen on the others.

10questions · 27/10/2020 09:25

I’ve never heard of them apart from Thea and don’t know one.

Whatthebloodyell · 27/10/2020 09:32

I don’t particularly like any of these names. And I think any combination sounds a bit like something that Jaqen H'ghar would say to Arya Stark.

MikeUniformMike · 27/10/2020 11:51

I don't like any of them

MikeUniformMike · 27/10/2020 12:02

Audra - I know one. Not keen on it or Audrey
Thea - overused and lots of Theos
Aerin - the best of the bunch. It is nicer than Erin
Tuleh - tool-uh?
Odelia - Delia is much nicer

Delia Aerin?

SeanCailleach · 27/10/2020 12:09

Intrigued OP, I am trying to guess your cultural background. I work in a noisy childcare setting and have to ask the kids their names, so here goes:

Audra I wld hear Audrey which I love
Thea classic name, how are you saying it?
Aerin I wld hear Erin or Airy. If Airy I would be uncertain if I heard right.
Tula I wld assume the child was mispronouncing Tallulah - for an older girl to be named "Toola" could be embarrassing
Odelia I wld hear Delia which is classic name with lots of fun and pretty nn eg Dilly Oddy etc

MelanieMayI · 27/10/2020 21:38

@Whatthebloodyell that made me snort haha

@MikeUniformMike I actually love that. Wonder if she'd get called Delia Smith or if she'll be old news by the time she's at school

Thanks @SeanCailleach

I do like Audrey but it's the meaning of Audra I like best I think.

I'm white English, spiritualist, like Tolkien hence, Aerin. Father is North African

I doubt her peer group will know who Delia Smith is.

I know a couple of Delias. Both very pretty. Both nice.

BarbiesBitch · 27/10/2020 21:49

LOVE Audra!

PoodleMoth · 28/10/2020 19:36

Odelia Audra sounds lovely

Hightide1 · 29/10/2020 10:30

I absolutely love Thea and wanted to call my dd this, but was put off by people warning that it would get pn fear by some. I don't know why I listened, I don't know anyone that pronounces th as f!

MikeUniformMike · 29/10/2020 10:33

I do, but one of her children has a th in his name Smile.

IVflytrap · 29/10/2020 11:37

I prefer Audrey over Audra. I think they're both from the same original name, arent they? Audrey means noble strength, from Old English Aethelthryth.
I agree that Erin would be an easier name to have than Aerin, in terms of spelling it out for the rest of her life...
Thea is nice. Not uncommon.
Not keen on Tuleh. Tallulah?
Odelia. It's quite nice. Makes me think of Swan Lake.

IVflytrap · 29/10/2020 11:38

The best combination imo is Odelia Aerin.

MercyBodle · 30/10/2020 00:22

I like Audra and Aerin (which I've also seen spelt Aeryn).

Thea is okay, not keen on the others.
