So while wandering home from work today exhausted and aching the name Carrow came into my head.
I’m not 100% on it but just wondering if anyone knows if this is an actual name or have the past two weeks of working every day frazzled my brain.
How would you spell it and do you think more girl or boy?
P.S please be nice, I think I’ve gone beyond baby brain and it’s now just mush.

Whoops I got my death eaters in a twist - sorry!

Norwich is one of those football clubs that people do seem to know about, so I would still be a bit cautious, especially if you ever have dreams of moving to Norfolk/East Anglia. It's not just about what would bother you as an individual,, it's what's generally known

I know a number of Carolines who get called Caro.
I would think of the death eaters immediately if I saw a name spelt Carrow.

It sounds like the number four in Irish, and there is a place called "Carra Rua".
What do you think of Yarrow ?

WizWoz · 17/10/2020 23:14

There’s a singer called Caro Emerald. So I’d assume it was a girls name based on that.

I would also think of the HP death eaters. And they were particularly stupid thuggish death eaters too, which would definitely put me off.

Caroline, on the other hand, is a lovely name and Caro would work well as a shortened version.

My immediate associations are carrot and crow. Not keen sorry

Carrow Road the football stadium.

As an American, it makes me think of Caro corn syrup and Carrow's, a chain of coffee shops in my home state of California
All that said, I lived in a flat in Chelsea and my next-door neighbour was Caroline, or Caro, as we all called her. And not once did I think of corn syrup or coffee shops when using the name in a 'real life' context.

Caroline/Carolina is a lovely name. You could go with that and use the diminutive Caro.
