...is a strong contender for our soon to be born baby, if a girl.

My first DD (aged 18 months) is Robyn.

Is Robyn and Holly a bit... Christmassy? Neither are Christmas babies.

Or am I overthinking it?

As a Holly, if I meet someone new around Christmas time, I will get the odd Christmas connection comment.
"Were you born at Christmas?"
"Ooh, it's your time of year!"
"Where's Ivy?".

Doesn't bother me and I don't mind my name reminding people of Christmas.
There are lots of names that are linked to a time of year (Summer, April etc), so why not have winter ones? Not like it's actually Santa is it.

I have both a Holly and a Robyn in my family, aunt and niece not siblings, and both with close to Christmas birthdays. They’re both lovely names, put together they are quite Christmassy, but does that matter?

But that's ok in my book.
Holly is a sweet name and I like Robyn too. Just maybe avoid any of these as MNs/future baby names: Alf, Elsa, Noelle, Eve, Stella, Christian, North, Belle, Winter, Carol, Gabriel, Faith, Joy, Clementine, Nicholas, Crystal, Ivy, Joseph, Comet, Mary, Rudolph.

Holly is lovely. Robyn is lovely. But not together.

@OrigamiPenguinArmy yes exactly why would it matter even if someone did make a Christmas connection between the two.
Lots of people deliberately pick the same initial for siblings or "would like another biblical name to go with this baby's elder sibling". Loads of siblings have nature names these days. I expect many are deliberate and many are just coincidences
Holly and Robyn are both such lovely names, u don't see a problem whatsoever. Maybe if you have a third child you could avoid Ivy /Noel or whatever but then again... who cares!

Clicked on this thread because I love the name so much. They're xmassy together but it doesn't matter at all. Please call her Holly!

I have a Holly, born in September, she is actually named after the computer in Red Dwarf, ex's choice, as I chose the first born name.
If it was up to me, she would have been Victoria

Ha - we have a Robyn and a Holly in our family, both Christmas babies! I would assume they were Christmas babies BUT that's not a huge deal or a negative thing if you really like the name?

DD2 was due 22nd December and I loved Holly, but our surname sadly made it sound like a tree disease (think Blight, De'Ath, Wilt). I wanted Gabriel for a boy (we could have known the sex in advance but chose not to) but DH said over his dead body - I said OK, if that's what it took. I think there was general relief when she was a girl! She was born at lunchtime on Chrimas Day and has a totally unChristmassy but lovely name.
