I'm not keen on names that can be shortened. NN I don't mind, but not shortened versions (nb. Aware Archer would get Archie so that's putting me off) DP likes really masculine names like Dominic for example.

Our 2 year old is a massive toy story fan so unfortunately Rex is off the table lol. Thank you tho.

Leo and Jax granted you can’t do much with them but they could become Lee and Jack.
Zander could become Zan

I have no issues with names being lengthened, I'm just not keen on names that are obviously going to get shortened like Jackson to Jack, Dominic to Dom kind of thing.

I have a Dominic and could count on one hand the number of people who shorten it to Dom!

We have a dog called Axl (guns n roses spelling) and it’s shortened to Ax all the time. Or Axey.
