What do you think

I like Jet short for Juliet

yarrow89 · 01/10/2020 09:32

I like it, I think it sounds very cool. Imagine at school when there are 10 Chris's, Mark's and Tom's and then... Jet. That's going to be a cool kid. It does sound quite American though so I can why people would find it weird.

VenusClapTrap · 01/10/2020 12:44

There are two in ds’s class. I think they are both spelt with a single t though. It’s ok. I’ve heard worse, but it’s not really my cup of tea.

Pixilicious · 01/10/2020 12:49

It's not really a name though is it?

Scweltish · 01/10/2020 12:54

If I heard it in the street I’d be looking round for a dpg

Scweltish · 01/10/2020 12:54

Dog!

Kanaloa · 01/10/2020 13:30

I think it would make a very cool middle name but it’s quite out there as a first name.

JanewaysBun · 02/10/2020 14:22

Awful

hollylouise1994 · 05/10/2020 07:15

I love it. It’s unique enough but easy to spell, meaningful and not over-complicated.

You won’t win on Mumsnet unless you like William or Oliver so if you like it then go for it :)

Strugglingtodomybest · 05/10/2020 07:49

I think it's ok if it's a nickname for a longer name but I don't like it as a stand alone name. My first thought was a cartoon but I don't know why.

BikeRunSki · 05/10/2020 07:57

I knew a Jett, short for Jeanette

inappropriateraspberry · 05/10/2020 08:04

Makes me think of West Side Story!

sashh · 05/10/2020 08:17

I like Jet, Jett seems try too hard.

badacorn · 05/10/2020 09:42

I don’t like it.

bridgetreilly · 06/10/2020 11:21

Do you live in Texas? Then, sure.

If not, no.

S111n20 · 06/10/2020 15:40

I like it !

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 07/10/2020 01:08

Makes me think of Alan Partridge singing 'Suffragette' by Wings in his hotel room - but the child's contemporaries will probably never see that programme unless they grow up with extremely good taste.
