Baby Girl names

Hi, we have just found out our second baby is a little girl but we don't even have a clue where to begin on names! Our eldest daughter is called Eleanor and we want something to match in length - we would also love something that can be shortened and timeless.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Cora as a short version of coronavirus?

(Hint: maybe the wrong topic area?)

Congratulations. How about

Madeleine
Verity
Clementine
Annabel
Claudia

Oh. My friend had her baby a week before me and called her Cora. No link to the virus, but now that's what I will think 🙈

Sorry, didn't even realise it was in the wrong thread! Tried to do it on my phone, serves me right!

@Jrobhatch29 - whoops, haha! About 15 years ago a friend said Chlamydia would be a pretty name for a girl, if it wasn't an STD. I can still never hear someone mention it without thinking "Ah, pretty name for a girl" in an Italian accent!

MRex · 29/09/2020 14:20

I like Madeleine actually. Florence too.

Gwendoline?

Jrobhatch29 · 29/09/2020 14:25

We've named our daughter Penny Iris.
We also liked Maybel, Elsie and Ruby

Hi @calzone2018 we've moved your thread into the baby names section now, so hopefully you'll receive some useful responses from Mumsnetters. Flowers
