Maya, Sasha, Audrey or Tabitha?

My husband and I are expecting our second daughter and have narrowed our list down to these four.

Any thoughts?

DD is Sadie.
Maya would be pronounced My-a, like Maya Angelou.

Tabitha is such a gorgeous name.

DramaAlpaca · 26/09/2020 21:36

Maya or Audrey sound best with Sadie.

Not Sasha, too alliterative. Not Tabitha either, it's fine on a cat but I think it's weird on a human.

  1. Maya
  2. Audrey
  3. Tabitha and Sasha
Paddybox · 26/09/2020 23:50

Sasha and Maya are nice.
Audrey is very classic but a little drab.
Tabitha is a cat's name.

Mistymonday · 26/09/2020 23:54

Maya or Sasha

Firebird83 · 27/09/2020 00:16

Sadie and Audrey

cordeliae · 27/09/2020 00:41

Sasha is lovely

Pieceofpurplesky · 27/09/2020 00:46

Maya will get pronounces May-a (friends Dd gets this all the time and she is a Miy-a).
Not fond of Sasha
Audrey is completely fabulous - timeless and elegant
Tabitha is lovely

Cado12 · 27/09/2020 00:49

My friend has a daughter called Maïa pronounced My-A and is always correcting people.
Out of your choices: Tabitha is a bit Tabby cat, Audrey a bit granny, Maya lovely but would be mispronounced —-constantly—- & Sasha is a bit match with Sadie...

ttcAlex · 27/09/2020 00:50

Maya. Its my dd's name, pronounced same as you would. I'd say half the time people read it as May-a, but that's not a problem as they usually get it right after only one reminder.

Ghosts2020 · 27/09/2020 01:18

Maya favourite
Sasha don't live but still nice
Audrey no but Aubrey yes
Tabitha can't stand

Ploughingthrough · 27/09/2020 01:21

I like Audrey and Tabitha a lot. I would probably pick Audrey though.

TildaTurnip · 27/09/2020 01:25

I like Maya best and I’ve never heard it pn May-a.

Audrey is drab sounding (like Maud) and rhymes with Sadie.
Sasha I think of as a boy’s name.

Tabitha is nice but I know I’d have been called Tubby Tabby for a few years at secondary school.

Tavannach · 27/09/2020 01:26

Love Sasha and Tabitha
Like Maya
Really don't like Audrey, especially not with Sadie. Aubrey's a bit better.

PastaPins · 27/09/2020 01:28

None Blush

notangelinajolie · 27/09/2020 01:30

Go for the cool, beautiful one.
Audrey.

MercyBodle · 27/09/2020 03:09

While I like Sasha I wouldn't use it with sister Sadie. Too matchy, samey.
I also like Tabitha, but, again would avoid it as Sadie's sister, as it then becomes one gets the cute nickname name and the other gets a strong grown-up name.
I love Audrey, and while a bit similar in sounds to Sadie, it works okay.
I don't mind Maya, and it works pretty well as Sadie's sister (just on that criteria it works best, though not my favourite of your names).

octoberfarm · 27/09/2020 03:40

Love Tabitha! Audrey second, I think.

custardbear · 27/09/2020 04:08

I have a Tabitha so that's my choice! I also loved the name Sadie and it was a contender for our second child, but he's a boy so has a different name lol

polkadotjersey · 01/10/2020 13:00

Thanks a lot everyone (apart from the two people who just said they didn't like any of them 🙄)

Audrey
I've totally fallen in love with this name recently

SaffieSoph · 01/10/2020 13:54

I vote Tabitha!
