How many middle names?

We're expecting our first child and for me, it's normal to have one middle name. However, for family reasons, it might be nice to have a family name from both sides, so as to have two middle names.

What do you think? Is this ok, or is this a bit Royal Family?

I'm not a fan of middle names. I hate mine. My children don't have middle names. These days kids have so many names it is so cool with just one first and last name imo.

Up to two middle names is fine, although my preference is for one. Any more than two and it starts to get a bit much IMO
