My husband (who never has any baby names ideas EVER) has come to me with 'Quill' for a boy.

Am I crazy to actually like this for a name? All I can find about it is that it's potentially Irish and maybe short for Quillan/Quillon.

I would also worry that this baby could have a 'strange' name compared to the other two.

Thoughts?

I quite like it, but would be put off by the comic connection. I know a young Gwyl (not Welsh) for similar sounds.

If his siblings have more mainstream names, I would choose something to match there's, I think something like George, Alice and Quill would sound odd.

I really like it, Quinn is similar & probably more known though

Quill is kind of cool and quirky...I really like it. But reserve it as a middle name and have a slightly more conventional first name.

Makes me think of the film Quills.

I like it!

I like it but like Quinn even more!

Agree that Q is a great initial.

But reserve it as a middle name and have a slightly more conventional first name.

That would be a shame as middle names never get used. Most people don't k ow their friends or colleagues middle names!

Quill or Quinn are great first names.
