Rufus and Marina are good too.

Frazzled2207 · 06/09/2020 09:52

I think Margot is fine but IMO needs the t

Nymeriastark1 · 06/09/2020 09:59

Heather is nice, rosemary is ok but not my cup of tea, the rest are bloody awful.

Correlation · 06/09/2020 10:17

😂

WoollyHeadedMammoth · 06/09/2020 10:20

I like August - I think of it as a virtue name (admirable, dignified, respected, etc.) rather than the month.

Love Marina.

MintyMurray17 · 06/09/2020 10:45

August and Marina. Beautiful.

pantherrose · 06/09/2020 10:57

I love Adelaide for a girl. If Devon is off the list, Rufus probably the best from your new list for a boy, but not too keen on any of them tbh!

twirlywooly · 06/09/2020 16:27

Out of your updated list:
Boys:

  1. Clifford
  2. Rufus
  3. Caspian
honestly neither are really my taste but nothing wrong with them either. Rufus I would worry about people trying to nn to Rufie though which would be unfortunate...

Girls:

  1. Adelaide
  2. Marina
  3. Margot
badg3r · 06/09/2020 17:35

Not keen on Devon, Orion or woody. Definitely not Mango... is it a typo?

My favourites are August and Marina.

badg3r · 06/09/2020 17:36

I saw your update after posting... so glad mango was a typo! 😂

danascully96 · 06/09/2020 18:58

Hmm, different taste somewhat.

Of the boys...maybe Caspian? But it's sounds like a fictional lion and not very mortal. Forrest is actually a guilty pleasure of mine, but I tend to prefer traditional boys' names.

For girls, I like Madeline and think you might too. Maybe Caroline? Or let's see... Sabrina? Or Clementine if you want a fruit. Mango is cruel, frankly. I think my fav girl name of your list is probably Rosemary.

danascully96 · 06/09/2020 18:59

Oh, glad Mango was a typo. I was concerned and flummoxed.

alexdgr8 · 06/09/2020 19:06

how about Derbyshire, February, Aubergine, Caligula, Lancelot, Ermintrude, Gretchen, Cyril, Hull, Jezabel, Methusaleh.

AdaColeman · 06/09/2020 19:21

I think if you go with the spelling of Margo the child will get called Mango, or people will think that the parents couldn’t spell. This is especially true now that Margot is having a bit of a revival, so people will be aware of the traditional spelling.

mylittleavalon · 06/09/2020 19:59

Out of updated list: Rufus or Caspian and Marina

covidmonkey · 06/09/2020 20:13

I think Mango is actually rather cute name. Little baby Mango.

Mammaaof · 06/09/2020 20:15

Devon and paloma x

CeibaTree · 06/09/2020 20:23

August and Marina

MikeUniformMike · 06/09/2020 20:32

I agree @covidmonkey, Mango is much nicer than Margot.

MooseBreath · 06/09/2020 21:53

My son's middle name is Orion. We've had very mixed reviews, but we love it and that's what counts!

I quite like Storm.

MagMell · 06/09/2020 22:08

I quite like Orion, but have a terrible tendency to read it as ‘Onion’ when skimming text, which is not so nice...
ChristmasinJune · 06/09/2020 22:08

Caspian and Storm

Thistlegirl4 · 06/09/2020 22:12

August and Storm from your original list.
