Frederick (Freddie) or William?

Which one would you choose?

William, unless your surname begins with a C!

But all three are good.

Frederick is great. Freddie is ok.

William is ok but I dislike Willie. And Will doesn't sound like a name. There's a will, I will etc.

Frederick of George.

I don't like William as it contains Willi and doesn't have nice nicknames imo.

George! Adore the name so much.
Also love, Edward, Theo and Theodore.

But will is such a common verb (Will wii you come ) and noun (Will's will) that some might find it odd as a name. Maybe that's why Bill was invented?

Anyway, I much prefer Frederick.

All nice options. I personally prefer William slightly- wanted it as name if DD1 has been a boy but my OH rejected it as is his middle name and felt it would be like naming them after himself 🙄 🤷‍♀️
Frederick/Freddie is also lovely though 😊

They were all on my boys name list! I think I’d choose William because it’s slightly less popular (I think anyway)
I’m pretty sure Freddie and George are both top 10 names.

Easy, definitely William.

In this years regional junior sailing champs (so think posh kids) one in eight boys are called Will... Common in certain circles.
