I love Anna Grace and Georgia Ellen

DramaAlpaca · 25/08/2020 15:47

Amy Kate (that spelling) is really pretty.

I like Tessa Amy too. Not sure on the Lora spelling, but I like Laura Kate.

Maren Elisabeth is a bit different. It's nice.

I don't like Georgia and Ellen at all, so won't comment on those, and Grace is everywhere as a middle name.

Eva Kate or Anna Kate would be nice instead of Grace.

babyguffingtonstrikesagain · 25/08/2020 15:47

Evelyn Lara - Quite nice
Lora Kate - Lora will be forever misspelt Laura (which is nicer imo)
Eva Grace - Nice but very now
Anna Grace - Classic but maybe a bit dull
Georgia Ellen - Lovely
Aimee Kate - Amy is nicer
Cleona Ellen - Not sure about this
Tessa Amy - Quite nice
Maren Elisabeth - Not sure how to prounounce. Is it Mah-ren or Meh-ren?

FluffyEggsontoast · 25/08/2020 15:50

Love Evelyn and Anna the most
Maren I've not heard before- like Karen? Prefer a name like Marnie or Martha

Sertchgi123 · 25/08/2020 15:53

Anna Grace is lovely
I prefer Laura to Lora
I like Cleo not Cleona

GanderousGoose · 25/08/2020 15:53

Maren is pronounced Mah-ren.
I wasn't sure on the Aimee/Amy spelling. I like both. Georgia Ellen is also my favourite! Eva Kate or Anna Kate are also lovely.

@Sertchgi123 Cleo would definitely be the used name.

Sertchgi123 · 25/08/2020 16:07

I love Cleo, I'd just name her Cleo.

DramaAlpaca · 25/08/2020 16:43

I love Cleo. Much nicer than Cleona.

sunyla · 25/08/2020 17:31

I love Tessa but not so much with Amy. Eva Grace is gorgeous.

MikeUniformMike · 25/08/2020 19:26

Evelyn Lara - don't like Evelyn
Lora Kate - is that a yoonique spelling of Laura
Eva Grace - don't like Eva. Grace is a filler middle name
Anna Grace Like Anna but not Grace as a mn
Georgia Ellen - nice
Aimee Kate - sounds like a verb. Not keen on Aimee. Kate Aimee/Amy is better.
Cleona Ellen - Cleona seems made up, Cleo is nice
Tessa Amy - Ok, Tess is nicer than Tessa
Maren Elisabeth - Scandi? German?

toastofthetown · 25/08/2020 20:31

Maren Elisabeth stands out as lovely.

I would use Cleo as a full name, rather than Cleona especially if you plan to use the nickname all the time. Cleona brings to mind Clíodhna, which in my opinion is far nicer.

Peachbubble · 25/08/2020 20:33

I like Maren Elisabeth, and Cleo rather than Cleona.

YouWereGr8InLittleMenstruators · 25/08/2020 20:38

Not much help as I like Evelyn, Anna, Amy, Tessa and Ellen.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/08/2020 20:41

I love Anna Grace and Lora Kate.

babyguffingtonstrikesagain · 25/08/2020 20:51

Cleo is gorgeous. I'd go for Cleo Georgia.

GanderousGoose · 25/08/2020 21:20

Thanks - I also prefer Cleo to Cleona though I already have a much older Theo, so not sure abt Theo and Cleo Grin. @MikeUniformMike no, Lora isn't a "yoonique" spelling of Laura - en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lora#:~:text=Lora%20is%20a%20female%20given,of%20either%20Eleonora%20or%20Loredana. I like both names but find Lora prettier. In Italian, Laura would be pronounce Lowra but Lora would be pronounced Lawra. I know Laura seems to have the general consensus here but I do think Lora is a pretty spelling. Maren means "of the sea" and I think it's lovely and unusual.

I think Lara is beautiful. How about Lara Evelyn instead?

GanderousGoose · 25/08/2020 21:25

@TwizzledTurkey Lara Evelyn is also really pretty.

Tessa is really nice, actually, and not too heavily-used. Not sure it goes with Amy - the 'a' ending and the initial 'A' sort of grate.

I really like 'Lora': there were two stunning girls in my Equity & Trusts module at Uni - Lora and Guilia (one Spanish, one Italian) and those names were in my list for a while. 'Yoonique' name, ffs . . . 🙄

mastertomsmum · 25/08/2020 21:28

Laura Grace as I don’t think Lora is a name

ellenpartridge · 25/08/2020 21:31

It's a decent list. My favourite is Lara but also really like Ellen, Anna, Grace, Eva...

sunrainwind · 25/08/2020 21:36

Georgia or Anna think are lovely and Ellen or grace for a middle name.

GanderousGoose · 25/08/2020 21:36

@FOKKYFC thanks! I think it's really pretty.

It's hilarious that there are contributors here who are proper fizzy about the 'correct' spelling of names from their own country, but deride completely legitimate continental names as somehow 'outré'.
