Thoughts on Albus?

I know the Harry Potter connection, I love the name!

Vile. Sometimes, out of fear of seeming ordinary, we can be a bit try hard when it comes to baby naming.

Too Harry Potter.
Alban would be good, though. After the saint.

I thought it was an aeroplane.

Everyone will assume you are hardcore HP fans.

It's okay but I always think it sounds a bit bland.

Albie is much better

We have a cat called Albus because I am a huge Harry Potter fan with the other called Salem.

Not sure I would call a child Albus though, they will always have the Harry Potter reference pointed out.

Great for a cat. But too obviously HP for a human child.

Alban or Albin are established names. I don't particularly like them, but they're not just recent book characters.

I know an Albert who is sometimes Albus as a nick name

I don't actually think it's awful. Could have the nickname 'Albie' which is adorable and the fact that it's 'Albus' rather than 'Albert' is so unique. Go for it!
