Can't decide between these 3 names for baby boy. Which do you think is best?

  1. Nicholas
  2. Oscar
  3. Charles (Charlie)

Nicolas
(It looks wrong with an h, somehow! I know it's not!)

Nicholas

Nicholas very much due a revival

Giraffey1 · 24/08/2020 21:53

My cat was called Oscar! I like Nicholas, it sounds like a strong name and is one that can be shortened if desired in different circumstances.

I think Charlie's nn Charlie
The Nicholas' at my school got called "knicker less" a lot so I'd never use it

Nicholas

In order:
Oscar - can give cute nicknames
Charlie - suits all ages
Nicolas - quite an old name so not so common these days

Nicholas. We have a dog and a cat called Oscar and Charlie, so to me they seem inappropriate for humans!

Sertchgi123 · 26/08/2020 17:51

Nicholas 100%

emilybrontescorsett · 26/08/2020 19:21

I think Nicholas is due a comeback.

Nicholas is lovely! I don't really like Nick much (slang for steal) but Nico is a good abbreviation.

Oscar is a good name but wow there are so many of them in my neck of the woods. I feel it might be very much of this era and date rather badly.

Charles reasonably timeless, Charlie is ok as a nickname.
