Maggy or Maggie?

Which do you prefer the look of? And why? It would be a full name, not a nickname to Margaret/Margot/Masha etc.

I love it and it is firmly number 1 name if we ever have a daughter!

Maggie! I also wouldn’t have it as a Margaret on BC, I like Maggie as a stand alone name x

I have a 16 year old Maggie - I think I was a trend setter! She has been asked if it ends in a y, a spelling that I never knew existed. That doesn't bother her, what does is that people assume they have misheard and think she is called Maddie.

I like it but the problem is you can always shorten Margaret to Maggie but you can't lengthen Maggie. So instead of two names, you have one option, a slightly informal sounding option.

I like giving the kid some options.

I would assume that a Mag, Maggy or Maggie was really a Margaret.
