I promise this is my last post! Not much time left so weighing up all aspects. So annoying the 2019 stats aren’t around yet!

So just interested - how many baby Delilahs do you know? Where do you reckon it will fall in the UK chart for 2019 and 20?

Just my cat 😁

sunshinecounty · 18/08/2020 14:51

One, aged 5 years.

Sausagedog1 · 18/08/2020 14:54

I've never met a single Delilah adult or child! I live in outskirts of London.
Looking at the stats it looks like it's growing in popularity but I doubt it will ever be super popular as it's a bit marmite.

DramaAlpaca · 18/08/2020 14:55

I've heard of a few in the UK, but never met one.

ShellsandSand · 18/08/2020 14:56
  1. A nine year old and a 2 year old. Yorkshire.
emmathedilemma · 18/08/2020 14:59

I've never met one of any age.

VenusClapTrap · 18/08/2020 15:00

One eleven year old.

ThatDamnScientist · 18/08/2020 15:00

None.

I think it is a really cool name (one of my favourite songs is Hey there delilah by the plain white tees)

MikeUniformMike · 18/08/2020 15:02

I think of why why why Delilah on This Life.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2020 15:03

I know none at all (I’m SW). It’s not the sort of name we tend to get around my way though and I’m not keen on it.

samandpoppysmummy · 18/08/2020 15:04

I know two. One is 35 and the other is 11.

Wallabyone · 18/08/2020 15:06

None, and never have, live just outside of London and taught in London for ten years.

Whatsyourflava · 18/08/2020 15:07

I'd put £100 on it not being anywhere near as high as Willow in the charts in the 2019 or 2020 stats @kellybean18

(Full disclosure ; I actually don't know any Willows either but looking at the statistics there's far more of them)

kellybean18 · 18/08/2020 15:14

@ThatDamnScientist same on the song!

One. She’s my Boston terrier.

SheldontheWonderSchlong · 18/08/2020 15:15

One - my nearly 9 year old. It was very unusual in 2011....can't believe it's top 100 now (and secretly gutted!).

Choppedupapple · 18/08/2020 15:24

3

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 18/08/2020 16:56

I know 3.
I think it’s a gorgeous name!!

Dededa · 18/08/2020 17:32

I know one who’s in their late teens. Lovely name, was on our list for a while before we realised it didn’t work with our surname.

SandieCheeks · 18/08/2020 17:47

I know two aged 6 & 9, and several toddlers named Lila, Lyla, Lilah-May etc who may be Delilahs (and lots of Lolas, Laylas, Lulas and Lunas too Grin)

DontFadeAway · 18/08/2020 18:12

One and she's nearly 2, gets called Lila on a day to day basis

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 18/08/2020 18:12

2

quentinquarantinio · 18/08/2020 18:13

Two - one adult one baby

Yawningyawning · 18/08/2020 18:13

Three, I’m in south east. All under 5

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/08/2020 18:26

I know two. It’s a lovely name! My son is Jude and so many people thought they were hilarious singing ‘Hey Jude’ at him when he was born🙄 novelty wore off though, and it’s a cool song. Delilah reminds me of Plain White Ts!! (And I’m Welsh so you’d think I would think of ole Tom)
