I have never heard of a Fraser being called Fray or Frase 😂 and I've met a few!

autumnkate · 11/08/2020 16:59

I like Willa and Fraser

but prefer Angus/ Fergus/ Hamish
Also... Morag?

Bubbletrouble43 · 11/08/2020 17:10

I LOVE ailsa and fraser.

kellybean18 · 11/08/2020 20:53

Freya and Willow!

Really don’t like Willa at all.

Standrewsschool · 11/08/2020 20:54

Don’t like Aila and Vaila.

Rest are ok.

Confusedmum2001 · 11/08/2020 21:06

I called my child Merlot and she goes down a treat

Confusedmum2001 · 11/08/2020 21:24

Sorry guys , that’s what happens when your lovely baby grows up to be a teenager and pinches your iPad! Please ignore above message

Strokethefurrywall · 11/08/2020 21:29

DH is Fraser and doesn't get called Fray or Frase.

He gets called Fraser.

MikeUniformMike · 11/08/2020 21:33

That's just your DH Stroke.

HD98 · 11/08/2020 21:42

It would definitely just be Fraser. I've also never met any who go by Fray or Frase.

I don't know any adult Frasers, but most names get shortened and there's not a lot you can do about it.

I have an Alec who turned out to very clever. He's never been called a 'Smart Alec'. He does sometimes get called Alex though. It doesn't bother him. (he's 18 now)

Oneandabean · 12/08/2020 23:56

How do you pronounce Vaila? I’ve never seen it before but looks pretty. I know a few kids with Norse names. Girl Sigi, boys Odin and Frey

HD98 · 13/08/2020 10:45

@Oneandabean
VAY-la, just as you'd expect Smile

@HD98 I thought so but you never know. It’s lovely though.

HD98 · 13/08/2020 11:01

@Oneandabean of course!
It's Norse and the name of a very small Island in Shetland. It's quite a well used name in Shetland but I don't think it's common anywhere else!

Willow, Freya, and Ewan are the names I'd choose from your list :)

BinkyBoinky · 13/08/2020 13:44

Freya and Fraser! Both fantastic names

worstwitch18 · 15/08/2020 02:45

I like Freya and Lewis the best from your names.

Never seen Vaila before but I quite like that name too.

Tavannach · 15/08/2020 02:55

Freya, Ailsa and Vaila from the girls' list.

I like all the boys' names although I prefer Alex to Alec.

sunyla · 16/08/2020 12:55

I really like them all except for Ewan. Alec, Aila and Willow are my favourites.

MrsMop1964 · 16/08/2020 12:59

ooh I like Willa- makes me think of Willa Cather
