What are your first reactions to the name Frankie?
If you heard the name Frankie would you think girl or boy?
I don't like any of the longer versions for a boy or for a girl. Would this be okay as a standalone name?

Look forward to your responses.

Do you remember me? Grin

First thing that came into my mind!

Not overly keen personally, but prefer for a girl over a boy.

Girl but only because I think it’s grown in popularity over the years for a girl more so than a boy. But definitely a great boy name too

Absolutely love the names Frankie and Fergie for a girl

Thank you everyone.
I dislike Francesca because it is too long. I prefer names of 7 letters or less. I also prefer the name on the birth certificate and the used name to be the same. Hence why I was asking about Frankie as a full name.

I would think Frank is a boy, but Frankie is a girl. I like both.

I can see it on both but much prefer it for a girl.

Frank is a boys name.

Frankie is a girls name, often short for Francesca. I like it.

Cbeebiesrehab · 10/08/2020 14:20

Like it for a boy especially as a diminutive to Franklin.

Dislike it for a girl.

I really like it. I would think boy and as a stand alone name for a boy I think it's perfectly fine.

I also think it would be cool for a girl - although in that case I personally feel like it should be short for something.
