Would "posh" be a good thing or a bad thing in your opinion op?

No, it’s quite mainstream now. Although when I used it for my DS’s middle name my parents weren’t keen as they thought it was too posh!

My nephew is a Henry, named after his great-grandfather who worked for the Liverpool coal board. So not posh!

Why would it be bad if Henry is 'posh'? It sounds like some awful disease?

Used to be posh, now very mainstream traditional name.

My son is called Henry. I don't think it's posh but maybe "old fashioned" perhaps? Just choose a name you love, who cares what others think?

Henry is both eight kings of England and a very reliable hoover. Universal.

No. It is a classic, old name. Henry is about as posh as Sarah is, only difference is there were kings called Henry.

Typically upper middle, but I always think its on the parents, you could name your daughter Ruby but might be incredibly upper class and could name your son Sebastian but be bottom of the barrel

@yankthe bear, no need to get heated over a name. I was simply implying the name was typically upper middle class due to its private school and Royal associations.
And as for your second statement you proved my point that it does not matter what you name your baby and that the emphasis is on what you name your baby and the socio-economic way you raise your child.
