Are there any female forms of Benjamin?

I can't really find anything other than Benjamina or Mina and I don't really like them!

Dinah is gorgeous, but I agree you should check out her biblical story.

I know a woman called Bernadette who always goes by Ben. I wouldn't want to inflict Bernadette on a child though, tbh (sorry to any Bernadettes out there)

If you don't mind two middle names you could give her B E N initials. Beatrix Emma Naomi or something.

There is a fictionalised retelling of Dinah’s story that gives it a very different spin from the Bible version - The Red Tent.

Jamie is an anagram of Benjamin (minus the b, n, n)

daisypond · 02/08/2020 16:47

But Jamie is a male name, so it doesn’t help.

I once met a Benita

SummerHouse · 12/08/2020 15:46

@daisychains120 Jamie is both male and female.

SummerHouse · 12/08/2020 15:49

E.g Jamie Lee Curtis - can also be spelt Jaime

WaxOnFeckOff · 12/08/2020 15:50

Jasmin?

If it was just a middle name what about Benn or Benne or Benna?
I love Benedikte which can be shortened to Dickte (the e is pronounced as an A) or you could anglise it as Benedicta. The name is derived from the Latin for blessing.
Good luck

Bithiah is an old testament name with the element "daughter" in it (bet is daughter, like ben is son). She was the daughter of the pharaoh, and pulled Moses out of the river in his basket.
