Hi everyone, it's been ages since I posted on MN! I'm due very soon (August) with twin girls and even though I have ideas for names I'm yet to make my mind up. I like sophisticated sounding names but I'm open to anything, let me know what you think of the names me and DH have considered and any ideas like them?

Camille, Serena (my two favourites) Louisa, Meredith, Ariana/Adriana, Luciana.

My little girl is called Eloise and her niece is called Elodie :-)

JacquelineLadyBugg · 30/07/2020 08:59

Camille and Serena are lovely together. Both are feminine, elegant and would work on all ages imo.

I love Meredith and Louisa too.

Do you have middle names? You could maybe incorporate the family name Louisa that way.

Camille Louisa
Serena Meredith

Maybe^^?

Wishingstarr · 30/07/2020 09:02

Love Camille and Serena, another name I love is Celeste, Celeste and Serena are lovely.

Chloethemummy · 30/07/2020 18:49

Congratulations on your twins, I actually have 2 sets of twins myself, identical girls called Amelia and Abigail (we call then Millie and Abbie for short) and identical boys called Remi and Riley. I’m also expecting twins at the end of the year and we are pretty certain on Scarlett and Sienna, hope that helps
I also love Megan and Mackenzie or Layla and Lillia 😊

Camille, - pretty. Camee or Cameel?
Serena (my two favourites) nice
Louisa, great
Meredith, - dislike, ugly and masculine
Ariana/Adriana, - not keen on -iana (ee-ah-na) names
Luciana. - Lucy is so much nicer

helpmum2003 · 31/07/2020 18:16

Camille and Serena go really well together, I also like Louisa.

Other possibilities
Gabriella
Ophelia
Tabitha
Jemima
Celeste

Camille and Celeste would go well but the same initial is potentially an issue. Or use 1 as a middle?

Camille Louisa
Serena Celeste

MikeUniformMike · 31/07/2020 18:39

Isn't Celeste a contraceptive?

helpmum2003 · 03/08/2020 13:03

Cilest was a contraceptive pill but no longer available I think....

Thanks for the help everyone! I finally became a mum for the first time to beautiful twin girls on the 1st and I'm so overjoyed (and tired as you can imagine!) We went with Camille Louisa and Serena Meredith as @bridgetreilly and @JacquelineLadyBugg suggested. I loved the names (they were on my list) and it flows well with our surname.

@MikeUniformMike Since we're in the UK I expect it to be said Cameel, but her NN is Cami so said Camee.

The last part of that reads a bit confusing I think? So to clarify we've gone with Cameel since everyone I've spoke to says it'll be hard to expect people to use the French pronounciation in English, but her NN will be said as Camee.

Louisa and Meredith! Lovely, classy, not overly popular names.

Should have read to the end - congratulations! Beautiful names!

ButterflyRuns · 06/08/2020 21:50

Thank you @MyCatReallyIsAGit! My fault for continuing the thread but thought I should at least thank everyone since I couldn't reply before.
