Sorry...another post.

Do you prefer Rosa or Romy?

Love Rosa.

babynamelover · 17/07/2020 01:42

Romy in a heartbeat 💚

BarnOwl26 · 17/07/2020 04:45

Honestly when I hear the name Romy all I can think of is the improv comedy special Middleditch and Schwartz (Highly recommend by the way) where they had to come up with a name on the spot and ended up with brothers named Toby and Roby. If not for this, I’m sure I would like the name but if I ever meet a child named Romy, all I will see is poor, poor Roby.

I love them both!
Rosa is 'prettier'
Romy is more 'cool/quirky'
So depends what kind of vibe you're going for. But great choices!

OhMyDarling · 17/07/2020 04:47

I like Roma?

This ^^ I also like Remi

I think Rosa is a bit more classic and less likely to date. Romy is nice, but overall I definitely prefer Rosa.

Miserablemoan · 17/07/2020 22:19

Roma?

HollyBen · 17/07/2020 22:35

Rosa. I am not keen on Romy

catinb0oots · 17/07/2020 22:37

Romilly.

Roma for short

SidesteppinTheRona · 17/07/2020 22:47

Rosa.

Romy just makes me think “roomy”

daisypond · 17/07/2020 23:06

I like both really but I’d go for Rosa. Rose is better, though. If you went for Rosemary you could have Romy or Rosa as a short form.

Itsarattrap · 17/07/2020 23:09

Romy (though preferably Romily, which I know isn’t what you were asking 😬)

Leeloo1233 · 29/05/2021 07:28

I love the name Rosa. Also getting quite popular in Scandinavia

ILoveShula · 29/05/2021 14:31

Rosa or Rosie

DariaMorgendorffer · 29/05/2021 14:37

Rosa

lebigface · 29/05/2021 16:08

Romy

RickiTarr · 29/05/2021 16:10

Rosa. Roma doesn’t really work in an English accent.

RickiTarr · 29/05/2021 16:15

Romy^

joystir59 · 29/05/2021 16:17

Romy. After a very beautiful German actress Romy Shneider

WhatAWasteOfOranges · 29/05/2021 16:21

If I had ever had a girl I would have called her Rosa after Rosa the Beautiful in the House of the Spirits

lebigface · 29/05/2021 16:40

@RickiTarr that's interesting, can you explain why that is?

SavannahLands · 29/05/2021 16:43

Rosa, it’s timeless and won’t give away her age as she grows into an adult.

CookPassBabtridge · 29/05/2021 16:52

My friend was called Romy, said as "Rommy" but she always got called "Rome-y" and hated it.

lebigface · 29/05/2021 17:03

@CookPassBabtridge
Ah ok guess it's one of those names like Maya or Esme that everyone pronounces differently can see that could be annoying. I just thought it was pronounced Roamy tbh because of the film Romy and Michelle Grin
