Would really appreciate some feedback on our list so far. Our surname is one syllable.

Josephine (nn Josie)
Marianne

Elizabeth
Eliza
Lyra (not timeless but we like it so including it!)

Love all except Marianne and Lyra.

Josephine is the name I would choose for myself if I could so that's my favourite but I love Eliza too.

Marianne and Josephine and absolutely cracking. I’d love to be named with of those. The only one I don’t like is Lyra. I find the ‘Ly’ sound very harsh, and I can’t get away from the fact it sounds like ‘lie’, or ‘lier’.

Marianne was top of my list for all 3 (boy) pregnancies. It's a beautiful name and as a teacher I haven't taught one in 7 years! Rebecca was also on there but I don't like Becky so it would have been a middle name
